We will be commissioning six parish readers in St Patrick's Cathedral on Sunday January 20th at 3.15 p.m. Those being commissioned are
Rita Arthur (Dundalk), Stewart Brennan (Milltown),
Mervyn Briggs (Mullaglass), Emma Chambers (Clonfeacle), John Crealey (Kilmore)
and Sarah Grant (Tynan).
Also on this occasion Revd Aonghus Mayes will become Warden of Readers and Canon Michael Kennedy (who has been Warden since 1974) will take on the role of Assistant Warden.
Aonghus will be the preacher at this special Service.
The service is open to all, and especially all existing Parish and Diocesan Readers
are welcome to attend (and to robe in the Chapter Room).
