We all wish Canon Colin Moore and his wife Belinda every blessing as Colin
begins his retirement this month. Ordained in 1972 in this diocese for curacy of
Drumglass, Canon Moore has served as Rector of Newtownhamilton, Ballymoyer
and Belleek since 1980. As Diocesan and Provincial Registrar, he has been
responsible for a great deal of arduous and detailed work on behalf of the wider
Church of Ireland in addition to his major involvement also in the life of the
Cathedral since the mid-1980s, culminating in his appointment to the Precentorship
last year. Happily he has accepted my invitation to remain as Diocesan and
Provincial registrar for the time being.
As they begin a new life in retirement, we thank both Colin and Belinda for all that
they have given,
and wish them happiness in the future.
