ABF The Soldiers’ Charity is holding their FORWARD MARCH APPEAL between 9th March 2015 and 22nd March 2015.
The appeal will focus on raising funds to help soldiers, ex-soldiers and families in times of hardship and need.
If you can hold a coffee morning, a quiz night, a sponsored walk or a collection in your local area,
call the ABF’s Charity Office in Thiepval Barracks and they will support you.
Currently, the charity spends £8.1m on soldiers’ welfare. A large chunk of this, £800,000 is spent on our wounded soldiers, many facing compulsory discharge from the army. We ensure that they are advised by a group of specially hired recruitment consultants on their
re-integration into civilian life. These professionals, expert on finding disabled people work, are tasked with coaching the soldiers on how to sell themselves in job interviews and that they are given the training they need to find work after leaving the army.
Any money you can raise here in Northern Ireland will go to help these brave soldiers.
